The Health Ministry today logged 375 new Covid-19 cases, taking the cumulative number of cases in Malaysia to 14,368. This is a drop from yesterday’s 489 cases.
The Health Ministry’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) recorded five deaths today, bringing the national Covid-19 death toll to 146.
Health director-general Tan Sri Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the 142nd death (Case 12,489) was a 55-year-old man with a history of hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia. He was treated at the Lahad Datu Hospital.
The 143rd death (Case 13,692) was a woman, 75, with a history of hypertension. She was treated at Semporna Hospital.
The 144th death (Case 13,705) was a man, 57, with a history of hypertension and diabetes. He was treated at Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan.
The 145th death (Case 14,261) was an 82 year-old man, who was treated at Tawau Hospital.
The 146th death (Case 14,264) was a man, 53, with a history of diabetes also treated at the Tawau Hospital.
