With the school holidays looming, guardians will utilize this period to look for new uniforms for their children.

For Muslim schoolgirls who wear the hijab, there’s another new range of microfibre head coverings which are suited to our weather.

Airdry Microfiber tudung focuses on the importance of using the right fabric to ensure comfort, even when she is taking part in sports activities.

Airdry Microfibre Sdn Bhd founder James Yee says their main purpose in coming up with the microfibre range was to provide a comfortable and breathable option for Muslim young ladies who wear the tudung.

“We comprehend that the wrong texture fabric can make potential hair loss due to the inability of the scalp to breath and trigger inconvenience and acne issues.”

The headgear has anti-UV and antibacterial properties that aid in protecting kids from unsafe UV beams and forestall scent causing bacteria from growing. It is also engineered with moisture management technology so sweat can be quickly absorbed into the fabric texture and just as quickly dispersed.

The Cooler Choice

Yee explains that “quick drying” means children can remain cool and fresh with a healthy scalp the entire day, a much-needed requirement given our weather.

Given that microfibre is also made from tightly woven thin fibres, it helps push dirt and debris away so they will not have to deal with sinus-triggering loose fibres.

Other features of Airdry tudung include an enhanced “scuba awning” made with spandex fabric to make it stretchable, soft and secure.

They have a sustainable stretch to allow total head, shoulder and body movement while maintaining a comfortable grip and to keep things hassle-free during the school run, the fabric texture is less inclined to wrinkling as well.
