PETALING JAYA – The Health Ministry reported 25,854 new cases with 78 Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday (Mar 1). Out of the 25,854 cases, 25,406 were local and 448 were imported.
The highest number of deaths per one million people were recorded in Kedah with 31, Johor (28) and Melaka (23). There are 293,651 active cases as of midnight, with 7,542 hospitalised.
Of the 7,542 patients, 161 were in intensive care units and 213 required respiratory assistance. The total number of cases recorded in the country is now 3,468,590.
