Malaysia’s Covid-19 infectivity rate or Rt increased to 0.99 on Tuesday, from 0.98 Rt recorded the day before.
According to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, several states surpassed the national Rt value, with Kuala Lumpur remaining the highest, at 1.08 Rt value.
Other states include Negri Sembilan (1.06), Melaka (1.04), Kedah (1.03), Johor (1.03), Selangor (1.01), and Sabah (1.01).
States with Rt value lower than 0.99 are Pahang (0.97), Penang (0.96), Perak (0.94), Kelantan (0.90) and Terengganu (0.78).
The country logged 3,245 new Covid-19 cases, and 3,093 new recoveries nationwide, yesterday.
