KUALA LUMPUR – Plus Malaysia Bhd has identified the cause of the long queues at two radio-frequency identification (RFID) lanes as shown on a viral photo circulating on social media platforms on Monday.
It was ascertained that there were a number of cases of drivers with insufficient balance attempting to reload their Touch ‘n Go e-wallet at the RFID lanes during peak hours between 8am and 8.59am.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will help guide customers to park their vehicles at a safe location away from traffic in front of the RFID lane to conduct their e-Wallet reload.
“Both the public and our staff are urged to adhere the standard operating procedures (SOP) when interacting to ensure safety and health for all involved #KitaJagaKita.
“For a smoother journey experience, RFID highway customers are reminded to always check one’s Touch ‘n Go e-wallet or the Touch ‘n Go card balance before and ensure it is sufficient for one’s journey travel,” it said in a statement today.
The three payment options by Touch ‘n Go, namely RFID, Touch n’ Go card and SmartTAG, are made available for the convenience and comfort of one’s highway journey.
