KOTA BHARU – Police yesterday arrested a 39-year-old labourer for allegedly committing incest against his teenage daughter.
Kelantan acting police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the suspect, from Indonesia, was detained at Tanah Merah Hospital about 6.30pm.
“Police have received a report from the 14-year-old victim about 11.55am.
“In her report, she said the incident happened at their home at Kampung Kubang Gali here about 2am. The victim who is still schooling, revealed the incident to her teacher who later accompanied her to lodge the report,” Zaki told reporters today.
Zaki said in her report, the girl also claimed that she was raped by her father since she was 11.
He added that the victim was sent to the Tanah Merah Hospital for a medical check-up.
The suspect, he said, had been remanded for seven days beginning today to assist police investigation into the case.
