KUALA LUMPUR – A total 1,387,395 children aged 5 to 11 (38.1 per cent) have received their first vaccine dose since the Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) was launched on February 3.
The Health Ministry’s CovidNow website also reported that a total 2,854,230 adolescents aged 12 to 17 (91.7 per cent) have received two doses, while 2,950,267 or 94.8 per cent have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total 15,876,357 adults or 67.5 per cent, of the group, have received their booster doses as of yesterday.
However, a total 22,954,326 adults (97.6 per cent) have received two Covid-19 vaccine doses, while 98.8 per cent or 23,231,749 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Yesterday, a total 22,807 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered, with 2,501 of them being the first dose, 8,670-second and 11,636 as booster doses, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered under the Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme to 69,042,067.
