KUALA LUMPUR – A 37-year-old man was killed in a three-vehicle accident at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman near a shopping mall here today.
In the 6.30am incident, the Proton Waja driven by the victim was believed to have veered into the opposite lane, crashing into another car and a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department in a statement said a call was received at 6.47am, before a team of seven rescuers and an engine were deployed to the scene.
“The accident involved a Proton Waja, Perodua Bezza and a Toyota Alphard. A 37-year-old man was found pinned in one of the cars (Proton Waja). Rescuers managed to extricate him but he was pronounced dead by paramedics.
“The driver of another car (Perodua Bezza) suffered minor injuries while the driver and a passenger of the MPV were unhurt.”
