Over 90 Covid-19 Deaths Yesterday

KUALA LUMPUR – Another 92 Covid-19 fatalities were reported on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 33,899 across the country.

According to the CovidNow website, 33 of the fatalities were brought-in-dead cases.

On average, 27 deaths per million people were recorded with Perlis the highest among the states with 74 per million in the past two weeks.

Active Covid-19 cases dropped to 308,942 yesterday.

There are 298,123 people observing home quarantine, making up 96.5 per cent of the total active cases in the country.

A total 0.7 per cent (2,031) patients are being treated at Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centres (PKRC), 2.7 per cent (8,400) are hospitalised and the remaining 0.2 per cent are at intensive care units (ICU) with 173 unventilated and 215 ventilated.

As of yesterday, 27,311,445 children aged 5 to 11 had received their first Covid-19 vaccine injection.

Sarawak has the largest percentage of children who received the vaccine (63.7 per cent), while Kelantan has the lowest (9 per cent).

A total 15,317,615 booster shots for have been administered so far.
