KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari tested positive for Covid-19 via a RT-PCR test yesterday.
Amirudin will be serving a seven-day self quarantine in accordance with the health protocols set by the Health Ministry, said a statement by its press secretariat tonight.
“He is scheduled to officially return to work next Tuesday. The menteri besar apologises for any inconvenience caused by this development.
“He asks that anyone who has come in contact with him in the past 48 hours to undergo a Covid-19 test,” added the statement.
