SETIU-Terengganu International River Challenge 2024 which will take place on September 15 has attracted participation from 3 foreign countries, namely France, Indonesia and Germany.
Representing the Setiu Adventure Park Cooperative, Najib Alias said the program, which was held for the first time in Setiu, offered 2 categories and would still be open until September 1.
“The objective of this competition is to promote a new tourism destination in Setiu, Setiu Adventure Park, which will offer natural beauty attractions that have crystal clear rivers, mountains and beautiful campsites,” he added.
“There are two categories that will be contested, the men’s open in pairs and the mixed open in pairs, which will cover a 15-kilometre river,” he told reporters after the Terengganu International River Challenge 2024 pre-race programme which was attended by 26 participants.
Terengganu International River Challenge 2024 will test the skills and abilities of kayaking participants who require high physical strength where participants not only have to kayak, but participants also have to run and kayak through various natural obstacles along these waters.
