“There is no need to declare a state of Emergency” – YDP Agong

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in a statement issued by Istana Negara today, is of the opinion that there is no need to declare a state of Emergency in the whole country or any parts of the country.

Al-Sultan Abdullah said he has confidence in the capability of the current government under Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to execute policies and enforce action to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong also reminded politicians to immediately cease all forms of politicking which can destabilise the country’s administration.

The statement, issued by Comptroller of the royal household Datuk Indera Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said Al-Sultan Abdullah is of the opinion that there is no need for members of Parliament to proceed with irresponsible action that can affect the stability of the present government.
