Celebrity preacher Ustaz Ebit Lew has reached out to residents in Batu Caves by sending two water tanker trucks, as many in the Klang Valley await for their taps to flow once again

Expressing sadness over the water supply disruption affecting 686 areas, Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew @ Lew Yun Pau shared on his Instagram that he and his team began water distribution at 10 pm yesterday night.

Sayu hati rasa. Selangor tiada air. Saya beli air 2 lori besar untuk diagihkan. Dari 10malam kami keluar rumah uruskan sampai subuh dan sekarang masih belum selesai mengagihkan air di area pinggiran Batu Caves. Bila saya tengok rumah saya tiada air. Saya cepat-cepat belikan air mineral untuk anak-anak. Saya fikir macam manalah orang diluar sana. Ya Allah. Sekali tengok orang beratur. Paling sayu pakcik makcik tua-tua nak air. Ada yang saya minta pembantu saya bantu angkatkan. Ada adik kecil-kecil sangat datang ambil air. Untuk masak dan minum agaknya. Ramai yang muda bantu yang tua. Pengerusi flat dan ajk semua kuat membantu bersama ajk surau. Ya Allah. Bantulah semua negeri-negeri yang ada masalah air permudahkanlah ya Allah. Bukalah jalan buat kami semua. Pohon doa yer. Ramai sangat yang minta tolong. Ada pusat dialisis dan klinik pun memerlukan. InsyaAllah doakan semuanya dimudahkan-ebitlew

Known for his charitable deeds, Ebit Lew’s efforts include Elews Mart to ease the burden of the needy by offering household essentials at affordable prices as a way of giving back to the community, and has since opened 10 branches across the Klang Valley.

In July, Ebit Lew launched a free ambulance and hearse van service for those who could not afford to hire such services.
